Did you know that the year Rainbow Brite originally aired it was an Olympic summer?

Yep, Rainbow Brite aired June of 1984 which was the summer that the Olympic games were held in Los Angeles California.

This year's Olympic games, which are due to air in a matter of hours are also blessed with their own Rainbows. The Mascots for the 2012 London Olympic games are two whimsical magical creatures enchanted by a rainbow, and when the games begin, it will be a rainbow that gets them there! What does lost feel like?

Chock full of adventure, song, and gigantic dancing laundry, Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical tells a tale of firsts: a stuffed animal's first trip in the laundry, a little girl's first words, and a Daddy's first time dealing with his child going "boneless."

Based on his beloved Caldecott Honor–winning picture book Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale, six-time Emmy Award winner Mo Willems joins Grammy Award–winning composer Michael Silversher to lovingly celebrate the heart and heartache that can only come from a family visit to the local Laundromat.

But wait? What does Knuffle Bunny have to do with Rainbow Brite?

The composer for this production is Michael Silversher, part of the song writing team from the Rainbow Brite Record albums “Paint a Rainbow in your Heart” and “Christmas”. Mr Silversher was also the singing voice of Twink on the albums!
